Is It Sanctioned? Yes! This is an ACDA Sanctioned Event.
How Much? The cost will be $15 for BARK members (including those who join on the day) or $25 for non-members. For this event, members of other ACDA affiliated clubs will be able to participate at the BARK member price. All participants will receive a free Fastback Frisbee courtesy of the Australian Canine Disc Association (ACDA).
What will I learn? This clinic is for people interested in how freestyle is scored and how routines are structured, whether planning to compete, judge or spectate.

Extra Offer

At no extra charge, participants who are planning to participate in freestyle competition later in 2009 will also be invited to access 45 minutes of free individual coaching with Damian at Bellmere on Saturday 21st February. Times for these coaching sessions can be booked in advance by contacting Damian through either email at damian@bark.asn.au or by calling (07) 5495 6700. Bookings are open now and places are limited to the first 8 teams to book.

Instructors

The instructor for this Training Clinic will be Damian Noud.

Damian and wife Karen enjoyed three years competing in US Canine Disc competitions. Among their many successes Karen and her 8 year old Border Collie Topaz won the 2002 US Disc Dog Gulf Coast Nationals. Damian and his Border Collie surprised some of the World's top teams when they won the 2002 Indiana State Canine Disc Championships when Tigereye was only 15 months old. Damian and Karen are recognised worldwide as Disc Dog experts.

Facilities

Parking is free. Bathroom facilities are available at the site. Some shade is available under trees beside the field. Wham-O Fastback Frisbee discs, club merchandise, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

This is a dog free event, please your your pooch pal at home.

Frisbee Discs

Fastback Frisbee® discs will be on sale at this event. Fastback Frisbees are approved by the ACDA for competition use in Australia. They were specifically designed for safe use with disc catching dogs and hover a really long time.

BARK Membership

Annual membership in the Brisbane and Region K9 Disc Club (BARK) can be purchased at this event and new members will receive entry to the event FREE! BARK members pay $5 for training clinics as opposed to $10 that non-member's pay. Membership runs from January 1st to December 31st for each year and individual membership is $10.

ACDA Affiliate Membership

The Australian Canine Disc Association (ACDA) is the sanctioning body for Canine Disc in Australia. Because this is an ACDA sanctioned event, all participants must agree to become ACDA Affiliate Members. Affiliate Membership in ACDA is free.

Also, all competitors at ACDA sanctioned events are charged a $2 ACDA levy which funds ACDA and the services it provides for its membership. However, BARK will pay your ACDA levy on your behalf out of the event fees you pay when you attend the event.
